Finality

The point at which a transaction or block is considered permanent and irreversible under a network’s consensus rules.

Applied: Ethereum’s Proof of Stake design achieves economic finality roughly every 12-15 minutes through a mechanism called Casper FFG, after which reverting a block becomes prohibitively expensive.
