The group of possible participants among whom an individual’s identity is indistinguishable within a privacy-preserving transaction.

Applied: Monero and privacy-focused mixers like Tornado Cash both aim to maximise their anonymity set, since the larger the group of plausible signers, the stronger the privacy guarantee.
