Asymmetric Cryptography

A cryptographic system that uses a mathematically linked pair of keys, one public and one private, to encrypt data or verify signatures without ever exposing the private key.

Applied: the RSA and ECDSA algorithms are the most widely deployed asymmetric schemes, with ECDSA powering Bitcoin and Ethereum wallet signatures.
