Dusting Attack

A technique in which small amounts of an asset are sent to many wallet addresses in an attempt to de-anonymise or track the activity of their holders.

Applied: dusting attacks against Bitcoin wallets in 2019 and 2020 attempted to link addresses by sending tiny untraceable amounts, prompting wallets like Samourai to add dust-flagging features.
