Transaction Malleability

A historical class of vulnerability in which the unique identifier of a transaction could be altered without invalidating its signature, since resolved in most major networks.

Applied: this class of bug, exploited in some early Mt. Gox-related incidents, was substantially resolved by Bitcoin’s 2017 Segregated Witness upgrade, which restructured how signature data is referenced.
