A smart contract vulnerability in which a malicious contract repeatedly calls back into a vulnerable function before its first execution completes, potentially draining funds.
Applied: the original 2016 ‘The DAO’ hack on Ethereum, which drained roughly $60 million, exploited exactly this kind of vulnerability and remains the canonical teaching example in smart contract security courses.
