Nonce (Transaction)

A sequentially incrementing number associated with an account, used to ensure each transaction is processed exactly once and in the correct order.

Example: if your Ethereum wallet has sent nine prior transactions, your tenth must use nonce 9 — submitting them out of order will cause the network to hold the later transaction until the gap is filled.
