Immutability

The property of blockchain data that, once confirmed and sufficiently propagated, cannot practically be altered or removed.

Applied: once Bitcoin’s genesis block was mined in 2009, every subsequent block has built on it without alteration — the chain’s full history remains independently verifiable by anyone running a node.
